Pediatric Occupational Therapy

Crawling, reaching, grasping, getting dressed, writing and playing - may seem simple, but for some children, these everyday tasks can feel overwhelming, frustrating, or even impossible. Sadly, others might mistake their struggles for laziness or lack of motivation. But the truth is, these kids want to explore, move, and join in they just need the right support

Family involvement

Family involvement is at the heart of what we do. We know that real progress happens when kids feel supported at home and in their daily routines. That’s why we work closely with parents and caregivers, providing practical strategies that help children carry over their skills into everyday life.

When might occupational therapy help?

Every child develops at their own pace. Still, you may notice things that make you wonder if a little extra support could help.

Maybe your child walks on their tiptoes, seems clumsy when running or climbing, or struggles with small tasks like holding a crayon or buttoning a shirt. Some children find mealtimes or getting dressed harder than expected. Others may feel overwhelmed by certain sounds, textures, or movements.

What we work on together:

  • Fine Motor Skills: Hand strength and control for writing, cutting, or using utensils

  • Gross Motor Skills: Balance, strength, and coordination for running, jumping, and climbing

  • Sensory Processing & Regulation: Managing sensory input to stay calm, focused, and engaged

  • Self-Care Skills: Building independence in daily routines like dressing and eating

  • Visual-Motor & Perceptual Skills: Hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness to support play and learning

Every child is unique, and therapy should be too. We use play to make progress feel natural, joyful, and lasting - one small step at a time.

If some of these challenges sound familiar, we’d love to talk with you. Share your concerns, and we’ll guide you through the next steps with care and clarity.
